These fish will give you a difficult time if you let them. Once they are hooked they will try and run around rocks and you usually end up breaking your line. We try and wait him out and give him some slacked line until he comes back out of the rocks or his hole and then pull him in.

They are a tan color with dark brown square markings along their body. The fins are usually black or deep blue. The caudal fin is squared-off, and the dorsal fin has 11 spines and 15-17 rays.
